Join us for the first CycleCoffeeCake in County Galway! Galway Cycling Campaign and the Burren Lowlands are teaming up for a 40km social cycle for adults from Gort to Coole Park, Thoor Ballylee and Lydican Castle, Ardrahan. We particularly welcome adult women who want some confidence to stay on their saddles since they hopped back on during lockdown. Women who are new, nervous, or returned to cycling since lockdown are particularly welcome.
Due to Covid-19 guidelines, numbers are restricted, participants must register in advance, and only people who received registration confirmation can attend.

Meet at Gort train station at 12.45pm for a tour by bike led by the Burren Lowlands crew. We’ll return to Gort by 5pm.
We’ll enjoy a pootle to Lady Augusta Gregory’s magnificent Coole Park for coffee, cake, and chats in the Tea Rooms. We’ll head to Lydican Castle via the turlough and our way back to Gort we’ll stop to marvel at WB Yeats’s Thoor Ballylee and windmill.
There will be lots of time to share experience of life on Freedom Machines, tips for bike maintenance, and sharing knowledge of quiet and calm routes.
