Pictured is a snapshot of the Galway Cycling Campaign’s bicycle maintenance workshop, held in Eyre Square during European Mobility Week. Left of centre and mostly hidden from view is Bart, who spent the afternoon fixing bikes and showing cyclists how to do it for themselves. Despite having his foot in plaster he was obviously in his element.

The Good
Today Wednesday October 1st, 2008 the construction work began on the “New Bus Lane for the Dublin Road”. This is a positive development for cyclists – especially for students attending GMIT.
Construction work is to last for approximately 16 weeks
